Artwork Sizes & Requirements

All entries

Must be clearly marked with NAME, TITLE, MEDIUM and PRICE  on the reverse

Oil, Acrylics, Watercolours, Mixed Media and Graphite, Pastels, Ink, Charcoal,

Artwork must not exceed 1 metre x 1 metre

Only 1 x Diptych (two pieces) or 1 x Triptych

Artwork must be on canvas or framed and ready to hang with D hooks and wire

Artwork must dry and read to hang

Black / White Photography and Colour Photography

Photos must not exceed A3 size (30cm x 42cm)

Photos must be mounted in Matte Board and ready to hang with D hooks and wire

Entry Fees are $30 per Entry and are Non Refundable

Artist Entry Terms and Conditions

  1. I declare I am 16 years of age or older

  2. I understand Entry Fees are $30 per piece.

  3. I understand there is a maximum of three works per artist.

  4. I will submit my entries clearly marked with NAME, TITLE, MEDIUM and PRICE on the reverse.

  5. I declare that my submitted entries meet the size requirements listed above

  6. I understand only one Diptych (two pieces) or one Triptych (three pieces)will be accepted per artist.

  7. I understand Prize Money per category is $500 First Prize and $250 for Second Prize. $500 for Best in Show and $500 for People’s choice and $750 for Best in Show.

  8. I understand all entries will be for sale.

  9. I agree that entries will be curated at the discretion of the Geelong Art Show Incorporated Curator.

  10. I give permission for the publication of a catalogue containing all entries accepted, with the artist and artwork name and medium. The Geelong Art Show Inc. does not accept the responsibility for any error, omission or any other defect in the production of the catalogue. 

  11. If my artwork is selected as a winning entry, I grant Geelong Art Show Incorporated the non-exclusive right to reproduce an image of the artwork in printed and digital formats, including but not limited to postcards and other promotional materials, for the purpose of publicising the exhibition and supporting the organisation’s fundraising activities. This permission is granted without additional compensation. All copyright and moral rights remain with the artist, and proper attribution will be maintained wherever reasonably possible.

  12. I will deliver my artwork between 9am and 2 pm on Thursday the 7th August at Sacred Heart College in Aphrasia St (look for signage on footpath).

  13. I will collect my unsold artwork from the Sacred Heart College Atrium in Aphasia Street – (main entrance) on Sunday 18, August from 5pm until 7 pm.

  14. I understand that uncollected artwork will become the property of the Geelong Art Show Incorporated and may be disposed of or sold at our discretion.

  15. I understand that Geelong Art Show Incorporated accepts no responsibility for lost, misplaced or damaged artworks; however, all due care will be taken.

  16. I understand Insurance for artwork is the responsibility of the artist.

  17. I understand that a professional judge has been secured for the Geelong Art Show Incorporated. The judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  18. I understand payment by EFT for sold works will be sent within two weeks of exhibition closure providing that all information has been made available by the artist to the Geelong Art Show Incorporated. This information will be requested at the conclusion of the exhibition via email.

  19. I understand a commission of 25% will be taken for all works sold.

  20. I understand all surplus funds from the 2025 Geelong Art Show will be donated to an Australian charity. 2025 goes to Little Dreamers. for further information please see https://geelongartshow.com/ or https://www.littledreamers.org.au/

  21. I understand and give permission for Geelong Art Show Incorporated to photograph submitted artworks and they reserve the right to use such photographs for promotional purposes.

  22. I understand that Geelong Art Show Incorporated reserves the right at its sole discretion to, at any time, and without prior notice, amend, alter or vary the conditions of entry, or otherwise act as it sees fit for the success of the art show.

  23. I understand I will be issued with an email to claim ONE free ticket for the VIP Opening Night. Additional tickets can be purchased for $30.00 each for any guests that I wish to invite and purchase instructions will also be contained in this email. 50% Discount Earlybird Tickets are available until 11:59pm Saturday 31st May 2025.

  24. I understand all artists have free entry for both Saturday and Sunday of the exhibition. Public entry for Saturday and Sunday is $10 per person with children under 16 free. 50% Discount Earlybird Tickets are available until 11:59pm Saturday 31st May 2025. Options to pre-purchase tickets will also be contained in the email.
